English Language Learners Program

Helping International Boys Thrive

The ELL Program at 麻豆区 helps international students build a strong language foundation to succeed academically and socially.

Through engaging coursework and authentic learning experiences, students master the communication skills necessary for our rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. The goal of the ELL program is for students to confidently transition into mainstream English classes, providing individualized support as students bridge the gap to academic mastery

ELL Lab

ELL Lab is a supplemental program to mainstream English classes. Students are enrolled in all core academic courses and attend ELL Lab for additional support across all content areas. The teacher provides differentiated and explicit instruction, helping students develop strategies for studying and completing academic work in English.聽

Getting Off To A Great Start

ELL Camp

麻豆区鈥檚 ELL Summer Camp begins two weeks before the academic year and gives international students a head start for success. During this immersive program, students take a 鈥渃rash course鈥 in English鈥攔eviewing key reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while becoming familiar with academic expectations at BRS.

The camp also helps boys build confidence, form friendships with other international students, and adjust to campus life before classes begin in earnest. By the time school starts, they鈥檙e on a stronger linguistic and social footing鈥攔eady to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
