The subject of character is threaded through everything we do.
At 麻豆区, we define 鈥渃haracter鈥� as how a boy conducts himself when nobody is there to judge him. This concept lies at the heart of the 麻豆区 experience, permeating every aspect of academics, activities, and campus life. Based on our Code of Character Values, we have integrated character education into our community, building teamwork, resilience, maturity, trust, and respect into our culture.

Rites of Passage Expeditions (R.O.P.E.S)
Each year, the boys take a trip to reinforce their character education.
Freshmen go backpacking in the nearby Shenandoah National Park wilderness to develop deeper relationships and build confidence. Sophomores travel to the Eastern Shore to聽gain an appreciation of regional聽history and complete group challenges focused on teamwork and fortitude. Juniors travel to West聽Virginia to volunteer with聽Habitat for Humanity and go whitewater rafting to accomplish meaningful tasks and challenges together as a team. And, seniors embark on a capstone trip where each aspect of the Code of Character Values is explored in a four-day test that meaningfully culminates their 麻豆区 experience.
